ACTS 17: 27–28

“God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.”

Littleness in the Divine Will.

I feel as though besieged, invested by the light of the Eternal Volition. My littleness is such that, fearing myself, I do nothing but hide ever more deeply in this celestial dwelling. Oh! how I would love to destroy this littleness of mine, that I may feel nothing but Divine Will alone; but I comprehend that I cannot, nor does Jesus want it to be completely destroyed.

He wants it yet small, but alive, so as to be able to operate inside a living will, not a dead one, to be able to have His small little field of action within my littleness, which, being small, incapable, weak, with reason must lend itself to receive the great operating of the Divine Fiat.

Now, in this dwelling, sometimes everything is silence, everything is peaceful, with such serenity that not even a breath of wind is felt; other times a gentle breeze is blowing, which refreshes and strengthens, and the Celestial Inhabitant, Jesus, moves, unveils Himself, and with all love speaks of His Royal Palace and of what His lovable and adorable Will has done and does.

So, my dear Life, unveiling Himself, told me: “My little daughter of my Will, you must know that the littleness of the creature serves Us as the space in which We can form Our works; it serves Us like the “nothing” before Creation, and, it being nothing, We call to life in it Our most beautiful works. We want this littleness to be empty of anything that does not belong to Us – but alive, that it may feel how much We love it, as well as the life of the works of Our Will that unfolds within it.

Therefore, you must be content with remaining alive without your being the master of it, for this is the great sacrifice and heroism of one who lives of Divine Will – to feel alive only to undergo the Divine Mastership, that It may do whatever It wants, the way It wants, and as much as It wants.

This is the sacrifice of sacrifices, the heroism of heroisms. Do you think that it is trivial to feel the life of one’s own will, that it may serve, not oneself, as though having no right; to voluntarily lose one’s freedom, that it may serve my Will, giving It Its just rights?”

PRAYER OF THE DAY:

“My Celestial Sovereign, Jesus, hide me inside your Divine Heart, not outside of You, but inside the sacrarium of your Heart…And You, Sovereign Queen, hide me under your mantle, keep me defended from everything, never leave me alone, that I may fulfill the Divine Will in everything.”
