Since one who lives in the Divine Will lives with only one will – God’s most perfectly holy Divine Will – He Himself can and will lovingly accomplish in us, with us and through us everything He needs to make us “perfect, as our Heavenly Father is perfect”. God’s Divine Will contains the fount of sanctity, immutable and inviolable, so evil cannot take root in those who freely abandon themselves to it. When we allow His Divine Life to reign in us, we experience victory over our evil passions, vices and fears and peace amidst adversities. As we continuously and completely submit our human will to God’s Divine Will, we are restored to the image and likeness in which God made us – our original state of holiness and justice. This allows us to regain that intimate and loving relationship with Him that He has created us for and destined us to return to.
